Rosedene House
Renovation
6 Months
Value $3500/m²
4 Bed
Manly West
This renovation saw a remodal of an existing coastal pre-war home. The aim of the renovation was to flip the orientation of the kitchen, dining and living to the rear of the house allowing for a greater connection between the living spaces and the outdoors.
The existing house program had the kitchen and living spaces facing the street, with bedrooms at the rear, blocking connection to the garden and pool area. We worked with the owners from the design concept where we weighed up the options of raising vs single level reconfiguration and extension. In line with budget expectations, we delivered a well-thought-out single level design which encompasses everything the family needed; 4 bedrooms, study nook, storage, main bedroom with ensuite and an open plan kitchen and dining spaces opening the house us to the backyard. The single level extension meant that they were able to include design chooses that may have been compromised in the two-storey concept.

We have always wanted an open, light and modern home which could cater for our growing children. Tim helped us capitalise on the land and existing home we had, to create a contemporary and livable one storey home for us to enjoy for many years to come.
